The Cisco Catalyst 1300 8p GE PoEExt PS 2x1G Managed Switch is a Layer 2 device for local network connectivity and traffic segmentation. It features eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports and two Gigabit combo SFP ports for uplinks. The switch provides a total switching capacity of 20 Gbit/s and a forwarding performance of 14.88 Mpps. It connects standard network equipment and includes loop protection to prevent broadcast disruptions.

This rack-mountable switch includes Power over Ethernet (PoE) to power compatible hardware. You can configure the system via a web interface or the RJ-45/USB Type-C console port for command-line access. It regulates traffic using Quality of Service (QoS) protocols, IGMP snooping, and broadcast storm control. The device also supports up to 990 static routes for local inter-subnet communication.
