The Ecovacs Deebot T9 robot vacuum cleaner uses D-ToF lidar and the TrueMapping 2.0 system to accurately map the environment and establish efficient cleaning routes. Object avoidance is managed by TrueDetect 3D 2.0 technology, allowing the robot to identify and bypass obstacles during operation. Suction power is rated at 3000 Pa across three user-selectable levels, suitable for cleaning both carpeted areas and hard floor surfaces. The unit is designed to traverse threshold transitions up to 20 millimeters.

The robot operates for up to 175 minutes per charge cycle before automatically returning to the included docking station for recharging, which requires 6.5 hours. Integrated floor washing is available through the Ozmo Pro oscillating system, which draws water from a 0.18 L internal tank. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi support, providing control via a dedicated application and compatibility with Google Assistant voice commands.
