The ASUS ZenWiFi AX XT8 is a tri-band mesh system utilizing the Wi-Fi 6 standard to provide network coverage. This two-unit system operates on one 2.4 GHz band and two 5 GHz bands, delivering a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 6600 Mbit/s. Data transfer rates reach 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency, 1201 Mbit/s on the first 5 GHz band, and 4804 Mbit/s on the second 5 GHz band. The hardware uses six internal antennas and supports MU-MIMO, beamforming, and intelligent mesh technology for wireless data distribution.

Wired connectivity includes one RJ-45 WAN port and three RJ-45 LAN ports supporting Ethernet data rates up to 2500 Mbit/s. The system includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port for peripheral integration. Network security is maintained through WPA3 encryption, a built-in firewall, and parental controls with URL filtering.
