The TEFAL OptiGrill XL GC724D is a tabletop contact grill with a 2000 W heating element. Its primary function is guided by an automatic sensor that measures the thickness of the food to adjust cooking time and temperature accordingly. The unit is equipped with a large 400 x 200 mm grilling surface, providing 800 cm² of cooking area suitable for preparing multiple items simultaneously. The housing is constructed from a combination of brushed stainless steel and black plastic, and the grill plates are made from cast aluminum with a non-stick coating.

This model features nine pre-set cooking programs for different types of food. An LED indicator light communicates the cooking status, cycling through colors to show preheating and doneness levels from rare to well-done. For maintenance, both the grill plates and the slide-out drip tray are removable and can be cleaned in a dishwasher. The appliance also includes an on/off switch, non-slip feet for stability, and overheat protection for safe operation.
