The HUAWEI S310-48P4X 48-Port Gigabit PoE+ Managed Switch with 4x 10GE SFP+ Uplinks (380W, AC) is a Layer 2+ switch for campus and enterprise networks. It features 48 RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports to provide wired connectivity and endpoint power. A 176 Gbit/s switching capacity handles data volume across multiple active connections, while four 10G SFP+ slots allow for high-speed fiber uplinks to core network hardware or external storage servers. The device provides a forwarding rate of 131 Mpps, preventing bottlenecks during periods of heavy traffic.
The metal-housed unit uses a 1U form factor for standard rack mounting. An integrated 380 W power budget supplies Power over Ethernet to run compatible surveillance cameras, access points, and IP phones. Administrators can use cloud-based management to oversee operations and implement static routing for internal data delivery. Built-in DHCP capabilities provide IP assignment and snooping to regulate connected clients. Active cooling is maintained by two internal fans that generate a 63 dB noise level under standard load.
