Cisco Catalyst 1300-12XS - Managed Layer 2/Layer 3 Switch, Grey

The Cisco Catalyst 1300-12XS is a managed Layer 2/Layer 3 switch designed for fiber connectivity in business networks. It features 10 SFP+ slots with 10G support. With a switching capacity of 240 Gbit/s, the unit handles traffic between servers or aggregated uplinks from access switches. As a non-PoE device, it is dedicated to data switching rather than powering endpoint devices.

The chassis measures 300 × 268 × 44 mm and includes hardware for standard rack mounting. Network administrators can configure the system via a web-based interface or a command-line interface (CLI). Layer 3 capabilities include static and IP routing for communication between subnets. Security features include RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication, with management session encryption via SSH-2 and HTTPS. Quality of Service (QoS) protocols, using eight hardware queues and Weighted Round Robin scheduling, allow for traffic prioritisation.
