The Philips TAB5109/10 is a 2.0 channel soundbar engineered to deliver clearer dialogue and sound effects compared to integrated television speakers. It provides 60W of total RMS power through two full-range drivers. The unit incorporates DTS Virtual:X technology to create a three-dimensional sound field from a single enclosure, simulating an overhead and surround sound experience. It also decodes Dolby Digital Plus, a common audio format for streaming services and broadcast content. Users can select from four equalizer modes—Movie, Music, Stadium, and Voice—to adjust the audio profile based on the content being viewed.

This soundbar accommodates both wired and wireless connections. For wired setups, it includes an HDMI output with Audio Return Channel (ARC), an optical digital input, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input. A USB port is available for direct playback of FLAC, WAV, and MP3 audio files. Wireless audio streaming from compatible devices is handled via Bluetooth 5.4. The unit's low-profile design, measuring 766 mm wide and 67.3 mm high, allows for placement below most televisions without obstructing the screen. For flexible installation, a wall mounting kit is provided in the package.
