Zyxel XGS1250-12 v2 - Web-managed Multi-Gigabit Desktop Switch, Grey

The Zyxel XGS1250-12 v2 (XGS1250-12-ZZ0102F) is a 12-port, web-managed, multi-gigabit Layer 2 switch designed for small offices and local area networks. It features 11 RJ-45 Ethernet ports supporting speeds up to 10 Gbit/s and one SFP slot for fibre uplink. This non-PoE switch has a total switching capacity of 96 Gbit/s to prevent bottlenecks during heavy data transfers. A forwarding rate of 71.42 Mpps ensures stable communication across connected devices, while multi-gigabit compatibility allows storage arrays and workstations to operate at their maximum supported speeds.

The aluminium and steel chassis is designed for desktop use, though it can also be wall-mounted to save space. It uses a single-fan cooling system and consumes a maximum of 20.06 W at full load. The device is configured and monitored via a web-based interface. VLANs and Quality of Service (QoS) protocols enable traffic segmentation and packet prioritisation. Essential Layer 2 features, such as IGMP snooping and link aggregation, provide control over multicast traffic and bandwidth between connected hardware.
