The HPE Aruba Networking CX 6200F 48G Class4 PoE 4SFP+ 740W TAA Managed Switch is a Layer 3 routing platform for enterprise environments. It features 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports designed to provide both data and power to connected network devices. With a switching capacity of 176 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 130.9 Mpps, the switch maintains throughput during periods of high network activity. This configuration is suitable for segmenting corporate local area networks and supporting dense deployments of IP cameras or wireless access points.
Installation in standard wiring closets is simple, as the metal chassis is designed for direct rack mounting. Administrators can manage up to eight switches as a single logical entity using physical stacking. Network control is available via a web-based graphical interface or a command-line interface using the provided USB-C and RJ-45 console ports. Layer 3 routing protocols, specifically RIP-2 and OSPF, allow the switch to handle inter-subnet communication. Quality of Service prioritization, VLAN segmentation, and IGMP snooping help organize and manage resource allocation for voice and video data streams.
Key Features:- Total PoE budget of 740 W, distributed across IEEE 802.3at PoE+ enabled access ports.
- Four 10G SFP+ slots for high-speed fiber uplinks to core network infrastructure.
- System latency of 2.28 µs on 1 Gbps connections, decreasing to 1.46 µs on 10 Gbps routes.
- Internal hardware includes an ARM Cortex-A72 processor running at 1800 MHz and 8192 MB of memory.
- Support for jumbo frames up to 9220 bytes to facilitate large data transfers with reduced network overhead.
- MAC address table capacity of 32,768 entries for tracking active devices across large network topologies.
