The Ubiquiti UISP-S-PLUS is a managed 2.5 GbE PoE Layer 2 switch designed to provide high-speed connectivity and power to network equipment. It features four 2.5 Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet ports and four SFP slots for fiber uplinks. The switch provides a total switching capacity of 100 Gbit/s with a forwarding rate of 74.4 Mpps, allowing it to handle heavy traffic across multiple access points without bottlenecks. An ARM Cortex-A55 processor (1400 MHz) and 1024 MB of DDR4-SDRAM manage core routing.

The chassis—made of white ABS, polycarbonate, and steel—can be rack-mounted in 1U or wall-mounted. Built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE) provides power directly through the network cables. The system offers a total PoE budget of 160 W. Each of the four RJ-45 ports supports up to 20 W, allowing for the connection of hardware such as edge transmitters without external power supplies. The switch itself has a typical power consumption of 25 W.
