The Keychron K5 Max is a full-size mechanical keyboard with a 108-key ANSI layout and a low-profile design. It offers three connectivity modes: a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless connection, Bluetooth 5.1 for multi-device pairing, and a detachable wired USB-C connection. The 2.4 GHz mode provides a 1000 Hz polling rate, intended for responsive gaming and typing. It is equipped with Gateron low-profile mechanical switches, which are hot-swappable to allow for user customization without soldering.

This keyboard supports QMK and VIA firmware for comprehensive key remapping, macro programming, and layer customization. The construction features an aluminum top frame with an ABS bottom case, and it includes durable, low-profile double-shot PBT keycaps that resist wear. Per-key RGB backlighting is adjustable through various presets and software. The unit contains a 2000 mAh rechargeable battery and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
