The Keychron K8 MAX is a tenkeyless (TKL) mechanical keyboard offering tri-mode connectivity via a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, Bluetooth 5.1, or a detachable USB-C cable. It is equipped with Keychron Super Brown mechanical switches that deliver a tactile response suitable for both typing and gaming. The construction combines an aluminum frame with an ABS plastic case for a rigid and stable base. For performance-focused tasks, the keyboard supports a 1000 Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4 GHz modes, which minimizes input delay.

This model features full QMK and VIA compatibility, enabling users to remap keys, create macros, and define custom layouts with changes saved to on-board memory. The keycaps are made from durable double-shot PBT plastic, which is resistant to wear and surface shine. The board includes south-facing RGB backlighting to illuminate legends without interfering with the keycap material. It also provides N-key rollover (NKRO) and anti-ghosting to ensure all simultaneous key presses are registered correctly across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
