TP-Link MC420L - Media converter, Black

The TP-Link MC420L 10G Multi-Gigabit SFP+ media converter connects fiber-optic and Ethernet networks. It bridges optical infrastructure and copper cabling with a maximum data transfer rate of 10,000 Mbit/s. IT professionals use this converter to integrate high-speed fiber segments into existing copper networks. The device is a wired-only connection point and does not include Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Its design allows for standalone desktop use or mounting in a compatible chassis.

The RJ45 port uses auto-negotiation to detect and match link speeds of 1000, 2500, 5000, and 10000 Mbit/s. An optical SFP+ slot accepts single-mode and multi-mode fiber transceivers to suit specific infrastructure requirements. Copper cabling supports a maximum transfer distance of 100 metres with this model. Full-duplex operation enables simultaneous two-way data transmission to reduce network congestion. Front-facing LED indicators provide status updates for power and link activity.
