Aruba Networking Instant On SG1004 - Secure Gateway

The Aruba Instant On Secure Gateway SG1004 is a cloud-managed Layer 3 gateway designed for local routing and security at the network edge. This non-PoE model features four 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports for client connections and WAN uplinks. With a 1 Gbit/s switching capacity, the device handles small-business traffic without the need for on-site hardware controllers. The gateway is managed via a remote cloud platform, which simplifies deployment for administrators. It acts as a barrier between internal systems and the internet by monitoring connection states in real time.

The gateway runs stateful firewall protocols and intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) on the hardware to inspect incoming network requests. Built-in IP routing manages data across the local area network, reducing the need for additional appliances. The unit draws a maximum of 12 W under full load. Its compact chassis supports wall-mounting, allowing for installation in small networking closets or branch offices where rack or desk space is limited.
