The ARCTIC Freezer 8A is an air cooling solution engineered specifically for AMD processors utilizing Socket AM4 and AM5 platforms. This cooler employs a single-tower heatsink configuration with a measured height of 136 mm, positioning it for integration into mid-sized and some compact PC chassis. Heat transfer relies on two 6 mm copper heat pipes positioned for direct contact with the CPU integrated heat spreader. These heat pipes efficiently move thermal load away from the processor base and into the aluminum fin array.

The unit incorporates a single 100 mm fan that operates across a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controlled range, adjusting rotational speed between 200 RPM and 2300 RPM. This fan utilizes a Fluid Dynamic Bearing mechanism, which is designed to reduce operational noise and enhance the durability of the motor. The cooler is rated for managing thermal loads up to 350 W TDP, providing substantial cooling performance for compatible high-demand systems. Installation is facilitated by the inclusion of necessary mounting hardware and pre-applied thermal compound.
