Meaco has always made their dehumidifiers as efficient as possible to keep costs to a minimum and now with the new Platinum series of dehumidifiers they have taken this to a whole new level.

This low-energy dehumidifier uses only 219 watts of electricity. That's because they've updated the design and integrated new technology that helps the devices work more efficiently than the older models you can find elsewhere.

Meaco has made this dehumidifier as quiet as possible so you can use it in smaller homes without disturbing sleep, work or play. At just 46dB, it's unobtrusive and only continues to help your home get drier, cleaner air and reduce moisture and condensation. The wash setting means you can also use it to quickly dry laundry indoors.

The unique Meaco control gives you the best balance between saving money and proper dehumidification. When the relative humidity is reached, the dehumidifier switches to fan only mode to check that the relative humidity is stable. It will then go to sleep for 30 minutes, then wake up and run the fan again to check the relative humidity one more time.

If the relative humidity has risen above the set point, the dehumidifier will start working again. If the relative humidity is OK, the dehumidifier will go back to sleep again for another 30 minutes. This process saves a lot of money on electricity, especially compared to dehumidifiers that keep the fans running permanently regardless of the humidity level in the room.
