The ZTE G5TS 5G Wi-Fi 6 Router is an indoor mobile broadband gateway that converts cellular signals into a local network. It uses 5G NR (3GPP Release 16) technology to provide internet access without a fixed-line connection. The router broadcasts dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with data transfer rates of up to 1500 Mbit/s. If 5G coverage is unavailable, the device automatically switches to LTE Cat6 4G. Integrated MU-MIMO technology allows for concurrent data distribution across multiple connected devices, making the router suitable for households and small offices using 5G Fixed Wireless Access.

The device features four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for wired hardware such as PCs and network switches. It is powered by an external adapter and does not have an internal battery. A 4FF Nano-SIM slot provides mobile network access, while 11 internal antennas with a maximum gain of 4 dBi facilitate signal reception. Security features include WPA3-PSK encryption, firewall functions, and VPN client support. Administrators can manage guest networks and parental controls via the user interface. A USB-C port is provided on the chassis for service and diagnostic use.
