Shelly 1 Gen4 - potential-free, flush-mounted 16A Wifi/Zigbee relay

Shelly 1 Gen4 is a single-channel, potential-free, flush-mounted 16A (instantaneous peak current) Wifi/Zigbee relay that operates on both mains voltage and a wide DC voltage range (regulated 12VDC, 24-48VDC).

The device supports two simultaneous WiFi networks and can optionally provide WiFi to other devices (Network Extender function). Programmability allows the device to implement, for example, stock market electricity control or other advanced functions. The device can be mounted on a DIN rail using our convenient Plus bracket.

When controlling inductive loads (including non-hum-free contactors), we always recommend using an RC snubber interference suppressor. The interference suppressor eliminates the interference peak from the contactor and thus extends the life of the device.

The device operates either as Matter compatible or Zigbee compatible. Simultaneous operation over Wifi and Zigbee is possible, but if the device is switched to Zigbee mode via the button (by pressing the button five times), the device's Cloud connections and base station will automatically shut down. The Zigbee function can also be started via the device's own server, in which case the connections remain active.

The device's Bluetooth connection works when connecting the device as well as a base station for accessories (e.g. Blu Button). The actual control or reading of data is not supported by the Bluetooth connection.


Shelly 1 Gen4 is compatible with the Add-on sensor add-on, which allows you to connect analog and digital inputs or humidity or temperature sensors to the device.

Shelly devices operate without cloud service or manufacturer-specific base stations. The devices can be controlled via various interfaces (http, MQTT), Shelly's app / cloud service or various smart home solutions such as Home Assistant.
