The Corsair Hydro X Series XR5 420 V2 is a radiator designed for custom PC liquid-cooling systems. It functions as the primary component for heat exchange, transferring thermal energy from the coolant into the surrounding air. This model accommodates up to three 140mm fans, providing a large surface area for effective heat dissipation. The unit's dimensions are intended for PC cases with sufficient clearance for a 420mm-class radiator installation in the front or top panels.

The radiator features a 30mm thick copper and brass core, a combination of materials selected for its thermal transfer properties. Its high-density 25-micron cooling fins increase the surface area in contact with airflow from the attached fans. For system integration, it utilizes standard G1/4" threads, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of fittings and tubing used in custom water-cooling loops. A protective black coating is applied to the radiator to provide durability and corrosion resistance.
