This unmanaged switch expands wired network capacity with no configuration required. The TP-Link TL-SG1218MP 18-Port Gigabit Rackmount Switch, featuring 16 PoE+ ports and two combo SFP slots, is a plug-and-play device. It provides 18 Gigabit RJ45 ports for fast local data transfers. Of these, 16 are Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports with a total power budget of 250 W. Each port delivers up to 30 W, powering compatible network hardware directly without the need for separate AC adapters. Two combo SFP slots offer flexible fibre connectivity for longer cable runs. Auto-negotiation ensures every connected device communicates at its maximum supported rate.

The rackmount switch features a metal chassis designed for use in equipment rooms. Its 1U form factor fits standard server cabinets, keeping network cabling organised. The unit measures 440 x 180 x 44 mm and weighs 4,932 g. Two internal fans provide active cooling to maintain safe temperatures during continuous use. Front-panel LEDs provide status updates for power and individual port activity. The switch connects to a standard AC power source, drawing a maximum of 286.64 W at full load. It is compatible with standard copper Ethernet cabling, including Cat5e and Cat6 lines.
