The D-Link DMS-1250-10SPL/E is an 8-port multi-gigabit smart managed switch with two SFP slots and PoE support. It operates at Layer 2 and Layer 3 for network segmentation and device power delivery. The unit features eight 2.5G RJ-45 ports and two 10G SFP slots for high-capacity uplinks. With a total switching capacity of 80 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 59.53 Mpps, it handles traffic from multiple high-bandwidth devices simultaneously. Its multi-gigabit speeds are well-suited to environments using Wi-Fi 6 access points or other modern, data-intensive hardware.

The hardware can be placed on a desktop or mounted in a standard rack. All eight copper ports provide Power over Ethernet (PoE), delivering up to 30 W per port with a total power budget of 120 W. Administrators manage the system via a web-based interface, which supports static routing for up to 128 routes. Network traffic can be isolated using up to 4094 active VLANs, while access control lists and ARP inspection provide security for individual connections. The switch has a maximum power draw of 147 W and uses an external DC power source.
