The MONTECH NX400 is a single-tower air cooler engineered for effective thermal management across a variety of mainstream processor platforms. Heat is captured and transferred via four 6 mm diameter copper heat pipes routed directly into the aluminum fin array. The cooler maintains a height of 156 mm, ensuring compatibility with the majority of common mid-tower chassis designs. The base plate utilizes a combination of copper and aluminum to maximize thermal conductivity from the processor's integrated heat spreader.
Cooling force is supplied by a single 120 mm fan, constructed with a 28 mm thickness to optimize airflow characteristics. This fan operates on a Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB), contributing to stability and longevity during use. Rotational speeds range from 800 RPM at minimum to 2000 RPM at maximum, controlled automatically via a 4-pin PWM connection. At peak operation, the fan moves 85.09 CFM of air while maintaining a maximum noise level of 34.17 dB. Included mounting brackets facilitate installation on Intel LGA1700/1851 and AMD AM5 sockets.
