The Apple Studio Display XDR features a 27-inch Mini-LED panel with a 5K Ultra HD resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels. This screen provides a pixel density of 218 ppi, which contributes to sharp text and detailed images suitable for professional workflows. It operates at a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and delivers a typical brightness of 1000 cd/m². The 16:9 native aspect ratio is standard for content creation and general productivity.

The flat panel is engineered for colour-critical tasks, supporting 1 billion colours through its 10-bit colour depth. It covers both the P3 and Adobe RGB colour gamuts, providing a wide spectrum for accurate photo and video editing. The display supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) content, which enhances contrast and the overall visual representation. An anti-glare screen surface is incorporated to reduce reflections in various lighting environments.

Connectivity is handled via a single upstream Thunderbolt 5 port that also facilitates the use of a built-in USB hub for peripherals.
