The Braun TexStyle 5 SI 5277 GR is a steam iron designed for everyday household use. Its 2700 W heating system generates steam to remove wrinkles from ironable fabrics, maintaining a continuous output of up to 50 g/min. A steam boost function provides a 220 g/min burst to help penetrate thick fibres. The iron also supports vertical steaming for refreshing hanging items such as suits, blouses, or curtains.

The SuperCeramic soleplate is designed to glide smoothly across various textile surfaces. A precision tip at the front of the plate allows steam to reach confined areas, such as around collars and buttons. The 0.3 L internal water tank reduces the frequency of refills. Integrated safety sensors automatically switch the iron off if it is left stationary for a set period. An anti-drip system prevents water from leaking from the soleplate, which protects clothes from stains when ironing at lower temperatures.
