HPE Aruba Networking CX 9300S - Fixed Layer 3 Managed Ethernet Switch

The HPE Aruba Networking CX 9300S 32p QSFP28 100G / 8p QSFP-DD 400G L3 Managed Switch is a fixed-configuration Layer 3 device for high-density data centre deployments. It runs the database-driven AOS-CX operating system to support automated fabric architectures. This model features 32 QSFP28 ports for 100GbE connectivity and eight QSFP-DD ports capable of 400GbE. Network operators can build high-capacity aggregation and leaf-spine interconnects without needing separate hardware for different bandwidth tiers. The unit supports 400 Gbit/s per port to handle demanding East-West traffic flows. The device is powered by a 1700 MHz CPU and 32 GB of internal memory, delivering a total switching capacity of 25.6 Tbit/s to maintain throughput across all active connections.

Housed in a 1U rack-mountable chassis, the switch measures 438.4 x 590 x 43.5 mm and weighs 11.85 kg. Thermal management uses six integrated fans configured for back-to-front airflow to suit standard data centre cooling layouts. The system includes two AC power supply units, operating on a 100–240 V input range. These redundant modules have a maximum power consumption of 920 W under full load, ensuring uptime during primary source failures. Hardware connectivity for local management includes both RJ-45 and USB-C console ports. The device features a forwarding rate of 5000 Mpps to maintain packet delivery during peak usage. Administrators can authenticate via RADIUS, SSH, and TACACS+ protocols.
