Aruba Instant On 1840 - 24-port Gigabit Switch

The Aruba HPE Networking Instant On 1840 24-Port Gigabit Switch is a smart-managed Layer 2 device. It serves as a central point for managing network traffic at medium-sized sites. The switch provides 24 RJ45 Ethernet ports that support Gigabit transfer rates, connecting directly to workstations, printers, and access points. Four dedicated SFP slots allow for fiber uplinks without occupying standard copper ports. This is a data-only model and does not supply Power over Ethernet.

The switch features a 1200 MHz processor, 1024 MB of internal memory, and 256 MB of flash storage. Unlike plug-and-play hardware, this unit requires initial configuration to access its management features. It draws a maximum of 19.9 W under full load. Operating within Layer 2 parameters, the switch provides control for network environments that require specific configuration rather than automated settings.
