The Sony HT-SF150 is a 2.0 channel soundbar designed to deliver clearer audio than typical integrated television speakers. It provides 120 watts of total power, driven by an S-Master digital amplifier. The soundbar incorporates a bass reflex speaker, which is engineered to reproduce low-frequency sound without requiring a separate subwoofer. This model decodes common audio formats like Dolby Digital and Dolby Dual Mono, and it utilizes virtual surround sound processing to create a wider audio field from a two-channel source.

For connectivity, the primary interface is an HDMI port with Audio Return Channel (ARC), allowing a single-cable connection to a compatible TV for both audio and control. An optical audio input is also available as an alternative for devices without HDMI ARC support. For wireless audio streaming from mobile devices, the soundbar is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2. Its slim profile, measuring 900 mm in width and 64 mm in height, is suitable for placement in front of most TVs or for mounting on a wall.
