The TP-Link Deco M4 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 5 mesh system designed to provide network coverage across residential environments. It operates using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, delivering a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 1167 Mbit/s. Specifically, the system provides up to 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. The system incorporates MU-MIMO and beamforming technologies to maintain stable connections for up to 100 devices simultaneously. Parental control features allow for network management via URL filtering and specific time limits for connected clients. The hardware features an internal antenna design and includes physical indicators and a reset button. Management is handled through a system interface supporting DHCP configuration, DMZ, and tagged VLAN for segmented network traffic.
