The Noctua NH-L9i chromax.black is a specialized, low-profile CPU cooling solution engineered for compatibility with small form factor (SFF) chassis and Home Theater PC (HTPC) applications. The critical design parameter is its 37mm overall height, which ensures 100% mechanical clearance over RAM slots and motherboard components in tight builds. The cooler maintains a strict 95 x 95 mm footprint, aligning precisely with the Intel LGA115x and LGA1200 keep-out zones. This configuration prevents interference with surrounding components while still providing thermal management for processors rated up to 65W TDP.

Heat transfer relies on a nickel-plated copper base plate connecting to two 6mm copper heat pipes that distribute thermal energy across the nickel-plated aluminum fin stack. Cooling airflow is generated by a single 92mm NF-A9x14 fan utilizing SSO2 bearing technology, offering a minimum operational life of 150,000 hours.
