The TP-Link Deco X50-PoE is a modular Wi-Fi 6 mesh unit designed to provide extended network coverage throughout a home or office structure. Operating on dual bands, this AX3000 unit achieves a maximum theoretical data rate of 3000 Mbit/s, allocated between 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 2402 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. When deployed as part of a Deco system, the units utilize intelligent mesh technology to ensure seamless roaming and maintain a unified network name across the entire area, managing up to 100 connected devices concurrently.

A key installation feature is the unit’s support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), which allows the device to receive both power and data through a single Ethernet cable run. This flexibility enables diverse deployment options, including mounting on desktops, walls, or ceilings, without requiring a nearby dedicated AC outlet. The unit features two Ethernet ports: one supporting speeds up to 2.5 Gigabit and the second supporting 1 Gigabit connectivity. Internal technology includes MU-MIMO and Beamforming capabilities to enhance stability and signal delivery across multiple endpoints. Security is managed through WPA3 encryption, integrated HomeShield protection, and an SPI Firewall.
