The acoustic design is complemented by Digital Noise Cancelling technology, which reduces external sounds, and an Ambient Sound Mode that allows environmental audio to be heard when necessary. Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) is integrated to restore high-frequency detail often lost in compressed audio files, aiming for a sound closer to the original recording.
