The COROS VERTIX 2S is a GPS sports watch designed for endurance activities, featuring a Grade 5 Titanium Alloy case and a PVD-coated bezel. Its 1.4-inch color LCD touchscreen is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The device provides precise location tracking through a dual-frequency system that accesses all major global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). For navigation, it is equipped with global offline topographic maps, route following, and an electronic compass. The watch has a water resistance rating of 10 ATM, making it suitable for various water-based activities.

Performance and health monitoring are handled by an integrated optical heart rate sensor that also provides SpO₂ and HRV measurements, along with an ECG function. The watch collects data for detailed sleep stage analysis and stress monitoring. It utilizes the EvoLab metrics suite to assess training load, recovery status, and VO₂ max, offering predictive insights for athletic performance. Dedicated profiles are available for a range of activities including running, cycling, swimming, and various winter sports.

This device includes 32 GB of internal storage for offline music playback, which can be controlled directly from the watch. Connectivity is managed via Bluetooth for smartphone pairing and Wi-Fi for data synchronization with the COROS companion app, available for iOS and Android. The watch displays smart notifications and call alerts from a connected phone. It supports data sharing with third-party platforms such as Strava and TrainingPeaks but does not include ANT+ connectivity or a contactless payment function.
