The Thermalright Frost Commander 140 is a high-performance CPU air cooler utilizing a dual-tower structure for enhanced thermal energy transfer. Heat is efficiently moved away from the processor via a nickel-plated copper base plate. Five 8 mm diameter copper heat pipes extend through this base, distributing thermal load across the extensive aluminum fin stacks.

Airflow generation is managed by a configuration of two distinct fans operating in a push-pull setup: one 120 mm fan and one 140 mm fan. Both fans utilize S-FDB bearings and support Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) via a 4-pin connector for automatic speed regulation. The 120 mm fan reaches a maximum speed of 1850 RPM, contributing to a maximum airflow rating of 82 CFM, while maintaining maximum noise output at 30.2 dB.

This cooler is compatible with a wide range of current platforms, including Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5 sockets, supporting processors with up to 150W Thermal Design Power. The overall height of the assembled unit is 158 mm, requiring sufficient clearance within the host chassis. Necessary mounting hardware for both major processor architectures is included with the cooler.
