Eaton N785-INT-SC-SM - Gigabit Singlemode Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter, Black

The Eaton N785-INT-SC-SM Gigabit Singlemode Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter connects copper Ethernet networks to fiber optic infrastructure. It converts signals from an RJ45 copper interface to a singlemode fiber link via an SC connector. Supporting data transfer rates up to 1 Gbit/s, the converter maintains Gigabit speeds across the media transition. It is designed for long-distance networking, covering distances up to 20,000 metres over singlemode fiber. Operating at a 1310 nm wavelength, it provides a link for campus or building-to-building connections, extending network segments beyond the 100-metre limit of standard copper cabling.

The unit features a metal housing and operates at temperatures between 0 and 50 °C. It includes an external power adapter and functions on an input voltage of 100-240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Automatic MDI/MDI-X support allows for the use of straight-through or crossover cables without manual configuration. Measuring 93.98 mm wide and 70.1 mm deep, the unit fits in telecommunications closets or compact spaces. This model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE).
